Statement of Beliefs

 

 
The Holy Bible is God’s Infallible Word and is the final authority for all things in this life. 2 Timothy 3:16-17
 
There is One God revealed to us in Three separate, distinct and equal persons; God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ) and God the Holy Spirit. 1 John 5:7, Luke 3:21-22
 
God created the Heavens and the earth in 6 literal 24 hour days and rested on the 7th day. Genesis 1:31-2:2
 
God created man and woman perfect and put them in the Garden of Eden. Genesis 2:7-8, 20-22
 
Marriage was created by God and is to be between one man and one woman.
Sex is to be only in the confines of the marriage covenant. Genesis 2:24
 
Satan tempted Eve and she sinned. Adam sinned along with her. Genesis 3:1-7
 
Spiritual and physical death are the result of Adam’s sin. Genesis 2:17, 3:19

 

Adam’s sin caused us all to be born in original sin and separated from God.           Genesis 3:22-24, Romans 5:12-17

 

God loved us so much that He became a man (through virgin birth), lived the       perfect life and died on the cross paying our sin debt in full. He was resurrected on the 3rd day. John 3:16, Matthew 1:23-25, John 19:30, Romans 10:9, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4

 

He now offers us eternal life. Romans 6:23

 

We receive this free gift of eternal life by repentant faith in Jesus Christ and what He did for us on the cross. Romans 10:8-11, Acts 2:38, Ephesians 2:8-9

 

 Our Eternal life is secure as far as that no one and nothing can take it away.   We cannot lose our salvation. However, we can walk away if we choose to do so. John 10:27-29, Hebrews 10:26-31

 

Water Baptism is an outward sign of our salvation. We are not saved by baptism. Romans 6:3-6

 

Not only is Jesus our Lord and Savior, He is also the Baptizer with the Holy Spirit. Luke 3:16, Acts 1:4-5, 8, 2:1-4

 
 
The initial physical evidence that one has been baptized (filled) with Holy Spirit is speaking with other tongues. Acts 2:1-4, 10:44-48
 
 
The gifts, signs and wonders of the Holy Spirit are active, relevant and available to believers today. Acts 2:38-39, Mark 16:15-20
 
 
Jesus wants to baptize every believer with Holy Spirit if they will only ask in
faith and receive. Acts 2:38-39, Ephesians 5:18
 
 
Jesus declared that signs (evidence) will follow true believers. Mark 16:17-18

 

Jesus still expects us to live Holy and righteous lives. We do this through faith in Jesus and the empowerment of the Holy Spirit. 1 Peter 1:13-16

 

Jesus is coming back again to receive us unto Himself. (The Rapture of the Church) 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, 1 Corinthians 15:51-57
